Honestly, I almost didn't realize how serious this topic was until I was standing right in front of it.

Two months ago, I had the chance to be the MC for this event and one slide stopped me mid-sentence.

According to data presented by Bapak Ali Sandiman from BSSN RI, 42% of Indonesians can't tell which content is AI-generated and which one is real.

I paused for a second.

Because that 42% it's not just people who rarely go online. A lot of them are active users. People who scroll every day, post every day, share every day.

We know how to use AI. We know how to make content. But do we actually know where the legal line is?

Because spreading AI misinformation is UU ITE.

Faking someone's identity is UU PDP.

Deepfake content that hurts people is KUHP.

The law doesn't care what app you used.

That's the part nobody talks about enough. And honestly, that's exactly why I care about cyber law.

It's not just about defending people in court. It's about making sure people don't end up there in the first place.

Technology moves fast. The law tries to keep up. And we as users are right in the middle of that gap.

Before you post, ask yourself not just "is this true?" but "do I understand what I'm responsible for?"
